We are very excited on the progress of our children in the following programs:

Our Music Teacher, Miss Laurie visits our classrooms on Monday mornings. Our children are singing, drumming and strumming with her wonderful repertoire of songs, rhymes and finger plays. Please ask your child to sing their favorite Miss Laurie song.

On Tuesday mornings, Classy Baby ASL continues to encourage our Infants, Toddlers and Two’s classrooms with pre-linguistic/linguistic skills by learning sign language through music, nursery rhymes and fun activities. Be sure to pick up this months signing words and phrases from your teacher.

Our Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten classrooms have been working hard with our Handwriting Without Tears program. This program helps them correctly form letters and numbers, from top down, without the dotted mid line. This program is great for spatial awareness, natural formation and a multi sensory hands-on approach to writing that includes dough, music, wood pieces, and mini chalk boards. Sight words are in full swing, and weekly homework is helping to reinforce what they are currently working on as well as establishing expectations for their upcoming year in Kindergarten.

Our Grow Fit: Yoga is finding success in our Two’s, Three’s and Pres-K classrooms. Please find the yoga position of the week on the Family Wall in your child’s classroom.

April is our time to celebrate our children during the Week of the Young Children, April 15 - 22. Look for a special activity everyday.
