Welcome November 2018

We would like to welcome our Music Teacher, Laurie Anne Creus. Laurie is an accomplished performing musician and an instructor for piano and vocals. She is a music teacher at Music for Aardvarks on Long Island and NYC. Laurie will be visiting our classrooms on Monday mornings.

We are very excited to introduce our new programs for our children:

Chess at Three tells stories that transform the chess pieces into a memorable cast of characters. These characters have quirky qualities that help children understand how the chess pieces move. Every Chess At Three lesson has a fun story that introduces children to important themes that go far beyond chess. Chess At Three students learn about sportsmanship, grit, and math, all through stories.

Spotlight on Spanish is an introduction to the language for our Two's, Preschoolers and Pre-K students. Through stories, songs and puppetry, our little students will be conversing and singing Spanish.

Grow Fit Yoga is part of our Grow Fit wellness program. Grow Fit is our unique initiative that encourages the comprehensive well-being of your little-one through: Healthy Living, Nutritious Eating and Physical Fitness. Grow Fit Yoga teaches children yoga poses and cooperative games in cool, unique ways to develop strong bodies, strong minds, and strong communities. Look for this in our Two's, Preschoolers and Pre-K classrooms.

My Classy Baby with Signing Time We are excited to have our NEW American Sign Language program: My Classy Baby with Signing Time. Jessica is working with Grapes, Raspberries, Strawberries, Plums, and Peaches classrooms. We are excited to have her as she begins teaching not only the children but the staff as well. She will be providing handouts, books, and music to go along with a theme each month.

Welcome to the beginning of our Season of Kindness!

Our annual Season of Kindness program encourages our children to perform acts of gratitude and generosity within our center and out in their home and community. It's the perfect time to share the importance of kindness and build this character trait with our children in our classrooms.
