Why fit in when you were born to stand out?" Dr Seuss

Dear Families:

Well, the September weather was a treat for sure! The children were able to enjoy the warm days on the playground. However, the air is getting much cooler and the leaves will soon be changing and falling to the ground. This is a great time to look at the extra items you have in your child’s cubby. Going forward, they will need cool weather spare clothes and an extra sweater.

Did you know you can find your child’s classroom lesson plans posted on the Family Bulletin Board in the classroom? You will also find their classroom schedule which includes times of outside play, meal and snack times.

As you are aware, we practice safety drills every month. This includes fire drills, lock down drills and shelter in place drills. Most of these drills need to be conducted without notice to ensure each child and staff member can react in an emergency situation. For the month of October, we are required by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services to conduct a shelter-in-place drill. A shelter-in-place drill is a response to an emergency that creates a situation in which it is safer to remain in the building rather than to evacuate. This type of drill also helps up prepare for potential overnight care. Like all drills conducted at Tutor Time, no one will be allowed to enter the building and the phones will not be answered. The drill should last about 20 minutes. You will be notified the date of the drill in a timely matter.

Picture Day is now complete and was a success! Proofs will be sent home for your review! There is no obligation to purchase, but all your options regarding packages will be with the proofs. There is also a due date stamped on this form. Please return all orders to the front desk.
